Split is well known as Central Dalmatia and has a wide variety of fantastic scenery, beautiful islands and historical architecture. The coast and islands around Split are in our opinion unbeatable. This region has splendid archipelago with hundreds of islands and islets which stretches from the town of Zadar on the north to the Makarska Riviera in the south. Feel and enjoy the real Mediterranean, walking through the old paved streets of Split old town with its great 1700 years old Diocletian Palace, built by the son of slaves, who became Emperor.
The Croatian coastline has much to offer, crystal blue seas, green mountains, long pebble beaches and rocky shores. And best of all the splendid sunsets and magnificent sunrises. Split region as well as the central Dalmatia islands such as: Brac, Hvar, Vis, Solta have much to offer, gorgeous villages full of character and history, by the sea. Food is amazing in this region with fresh fish, olives and excellent wines. Many countries have made their mark on the history and the architecture of the Split region, from the Greeks, Romans, French, Venetians, Ottomans, Austrians and even briefly the British.
