Villas in Split, Croatia

Split

Split is well known as Central Dalmatia and has a wide variety of fantastic scenery, beautiful islands and historical architecture. The coast and islands around Split are in our opinion unbeatable. This region has splendid archipelago with hundreds of islands and islets which stretches from the town of Zadar on the north to the Makarska Riviera in the south. Feel and enjoy the real Mediterranean, walking through the old paved streets of Split old town with its great 1700 years old Diocletian Palace, built by the son of slaves, who became Emperor.

The Croatian coastline has much to offer, crystal blue seas, green mountains, long pebble beaches and rocky shores. And best of all the splendid sunsets and magnificent sunrises. Split region as well as the central Dalmatia islands such as: Brac, Hvar, Vis, Solta have much to offer, gorgeous villages full of character and history, by the sea. Food is amazing in this region with fresh fish, olives and excellent wines. Many countries have made their mark on the history and the architecture of the Split region, from the Greeks, Romans, French, Venetians, Ottomans, Austrians and even briefly the British.

Split itself has a fascinating centre as well as an attractive ‘Riva’ by the sea where you can relax in bars or enjoy several excellent traditional restaurants by the sea or in the old town. All of our villas in Split are in great locations to access all of the local attractions, most of our villas in Split have private pools. We have several villas in Split along the coast or on the Islands of Brac and Hvar that have private swimming pools; we also have a good selection of Split accommodation that is located right by a beach.

We recommend visits to other charming places in the split region such as Trogir in our opinion a must see. This beautiful town founded by the ancient Greeks, is the one of the most beautiful old towns in Dalmatia and an UNESCO heritage site. Also, the town of Hvar - an enchanting Mediterranean harbour town founded by the Greeks and refined by Venetians and many other lovely places in Dalmatia such as Primosten, Omis, Makarska, Krka National Park and many more.

For the more energetic, why not try rafting on Cetina River or visit Biokovo Mountain which is the largest and highest mountain in Dalmatia, perfect for hiking and climbing.
