The location of this house is perfect - it is less than 10 minutes drive away from Rovinj, a truly beautiful Istrian town with many excellent seaside restaurants and bars, and under 10 minutes walk to the centre of the village Rovinjsko Selo which has a smaller selection of shops and bars plus a couple of good local restaurants. Rovinj and its surroundings offer many attractions for sightseeing: do not miss the opportunity to visit the Local Museum and Batana house, a museum dedicated to a unique boat which originated in Rovinj. Do not miss walking up to the St Euphemia church yard – from the belfry the views are superb and you can even see Venice on a sunny day. Also, it is worth talking a walk to Zlatni Rt (Golden Cape), a protected forest park with tall pine trees and beautiful pebble beaches. If you want to spend a day on a beach, Golden Cape is the best choice, as you can sunbathe on comfortable loungers which can be rent on the beach or relax in the shade of the pine trees when it gets too hot. There are also bars with snacks by the beaches.
In the vicinity of Rovinjsko Selo is Lim Fjord, a beautiful long bay where seashells are grown and where you can try seafood specialties in excellent restaurants like 'Viking' or 'Fjord'. Rovinj abounds with restaurants of all kind: from pizzeria (try Roma in the very centre), to slow food restaurants - go to 'Monte', near St Euphemia church. For a romantic setting right on the beach with candlesticks and fantastic views of Rovinj you must go to Restaurant 'Blu' with its expensive but excellent menu - especially fish.
The property is a recently renovated semi detached stone house with air conditioning in all rooms. A lovely garden in front of the house has a well kept lawn, Mediterranean shrubs, fig and olive trees, and a 8m x 4m oval shaped swimming pool, around which is a wooden decked sunbathing area. The garden is fenced with a wall and trees for your privacy. The house is entered through the door at the back which opens to a hall off which are two double bedrooms, each with its own en-suite shower room/wc as well as a utility room with washing machine.
On the first floor is a well decorated living room with satellite TV, DVD player and comfortable seating and an open plan kitchen, fully equipped with range of cupboards, fridge/freezer, dishwasher and cooker. A door from here leads to a beautiful terrace with barbecue and table for 6 for eating al fresco and with views of the sea in the distance. On this level is a separate wc. Stairs lead to the top floor with a twin bedroom and en-suite shower room/wc.
