The beautiful farmhouse of Graziela is located near the old Istrian little town of Sveti Lovrec, deep in the countryside, surrounded by 15000m2 of meadows, vineyards and olive groves. It won't take you long to fall in love with this century old stone beauty, built in the most traditional style, with wooden beams and floors. Once owned by a family of well-off merchants, today it belongs to their great granddaughter Graziela and her family. Although they live and work in Pula, she and her husband find the time to care for the olives and the vineyards around the house. One kilometer away is Sveti Lovrec which has a shop, a restaurant and a few bars; at Lim fjord are excellent fish restaurants and for traditional cuisine go to ‘Idila’ in Rakovci just 5 minutes away.
The seaside is near; only 5km away is Lim fjord, and the Blue and Green lagoons near Porec are reached in 15 minutes drive. Porec which also has 2 Blue Flag beaches is only 12km away, Rovinj 20km, and Pula 40km. The Brijuni National Park, once the residence of President Tito, is 30km distant; you can take the train trip around the island and see Roman remains, botanical gardens, and a safari park.
The property is entered through a gate lined with tall cypress trees. In front of the house there is 3000m2 of enclosed yard in which there are stone outbuildings that would have originally housed cattle. Inside one is a summer ‘dining room’ with barbecue plus wooden table and benches. Outside is a 8m x 4m swimming pool in the garden between the vineyard and the other stone outbuildings.
You go up stone steps to the first floor level, and via two outdoor terraces, you enter into a long hall. Off this is the air-conditioned living area with a corner sofa and a TV plus dining table and chairs and an archway to the kitchen equipped with cooker, microwave, dishwasher and fridge. Along the hall is a bathroom/wc with washing machine, and three bedrooms (two double and one twin) all with air-conditioning. At a lower level, with entrance from the garden, is a shower room/wc. All the rooms in the house have great views of the picturesque, surrounding countryside. The owners will proudly offer you their home made wine as a welcome.
Internet: ON REQUEST. £25 Clients who wish to take their lap top on holiday and be connected to the villa’s special broadband roving connection must order this at the time of booking. This villa has a connection via USB stick to a mobile network and provides the user with wireless access to broadband connection. Consequently broadband is available either inside or outside this property; indeed should you wish to take your lap top with you, it’s broadband connection will work in most places apart from some remote areas of Croatia.
