This  house is a good base from which to explore the Lot Valley. Driving east you pass Prayssac, where there is a good market on Fridays, and other attractive riverside villages such as Albas, Luzech and Caix, where the Queen of Denmark has a chateau. Further on you come to Caillac and Douelle, where there is a good fish restaurant. From there it is only a short drive to Cahors with its blues festival, Wednesday and Saturday market, plus a whole host of shops, restaurants and cafes to choose from.

This house is just 2 km walk from the village of Grezels which has a wonderful old restaurant. The village is situated on a bend in the Lot River as it snakes its way through geometrically patterned rows of vines 4 km towards the charming riverside town of Puy L'Eveque. Here there is a choice of restaurants, bars and cafes as well as a good range of shops.

The house has been completely renovated. A door from the terrace opens directly into the main room of the house, the living room. At one end of this is a kitchen with fitted cupboards, pretty, pale green and yellow wall tiles, dishwasher, plus microwave as well as ordinary oven and table with seating for 6; at the far end of the room is comfortable seating in front of a TV with DVD. Off this room a corridor leads past a separate WC and a shower room with a washing machine, to a double bedroom with French windows. Stairs rise from the living room to the first floor which has two bedrooms: one with a double bed, one with two single beds; there is also a separate WC. The house has wall mounted electric radiators.

Outside, is a loggia under which you can eat out, a terrace and a swimming pool 8.5m x 4m with Roman steps. The house has extensive grounds of 1.5 hectares, most of which is woodland.
