Description

We are proud to present to you something completely new and unique in the Affair Travel programme in the town of Dubrovnik, one of the prettiest historical towns in Europe. This faboulous house is positioned in a spectacular location facing the sea; it is right above the water and looks out towards  the  fortress called Lovrjenac which has been protecting the old town from its enemies over many centuries, and still proudly sits above the bay. The property nestles in a secluded position between two big rocks in Sulicha Bay with a lovely, small  pebble beach only 20 metres below; down a few stone steps is the crystal clear water in which you can swim. It is carved out of stone in classic, traditional Mediterranean style stone whilst being equipped with all modern facilities.

Only 5 minutes walk away, you are in the Pile area, an interesting old part of town just next to  the old city walls where you can enjoy the bars and restaurants – the best of which is ''Nautica'' well known for its seafood menu and lovely outside terrace overlooking the sea.  Just a few more steps and you are in the main old square called Stradun with its lovely old stone water fountain and excellent restaurants such as ''Proto'', ''Gilles'' and ''Arsenal''. 5 minutes walk from Stradun and you are on the most popular pebble beach in Dubrovnik called Banje on which is a good restaurant and night bar called ''East – West''.

The town of Dubrovnik is a really picturesque and historical place. In the past  it was a City-Republic, and alongside Venice one of the most famous cultural-economic centres on the Mediterranean. Today it looks virtually the same with most of its old stone buildings and narrow paved streets intact. From the main harbour in Dubrovnik old town, just 5 minutes walk from Villa Libertas there are everyday boat excursions to of Lokrum, a nearby little island with lovely swimming spots and walks. If you want to explore the Islands of Sipan, Lopud, Kolocep or maybe visit the Island of Mljet and its National Park, there are regular ferries from Gruz ferry port only 3km from the house and old town.

Villa Libertas is located on a perfect spot only 20 metres above a pebble beach which you access down stone steps. You enter the house via a charming stone terrace. Inside is the living room with sofa which can be converted into a single bed, a coffee table, satellite TV, Hi-Fi and wireless internet access. From here you exit directly onto the balcony with a barbecue, table and chairs and splendid sea views.

Open plan to the living room is a dining area with table and chairs to seat five, and a fully equipped kitchen with fridge, cooker and microwave. Downstairs are a double bedroom with shower room/wc and a second double bedroom also with shower room/wc. The whole house is air conditioned. There is private parking just above the house although you could easily stay at this wonderful property without a car.
