Description

Everything you need is within walking distance. Start your day at the best coffee shop in Croatia by strolling 3 minutes down to the seafront and catch the early morning rays whilst watching the fisherman bringing in their catch. Before your eyes are the fish that will be served that evening in the two restaurants right beside you: ‘Plavi Podrum’ with excellent fish menu and fantastic desserts (do not miss their chocolate cake with chilly ice cream) or the more expensive ‘Le Mandrac’ which serves more creative dishes by a famous chef. For something simpler just 2 minutes walk from the flat is the local fish shop which prepares grilled or fried fish with vegetables, or a popular local trattoria that serves both meat and fish dishes. A grocery store 20 meters away stocks all your daily needs, and a bakery is 100 meters. 

The real delight of this area is the 12km Lungomare – a pedestrian walkway that hugs the coast and joins up all the small local villages. A pebble beach is 5 minutes walk away and a few minutes further is a chain of smaller rocky or pebble beaches for swimming and sunbathing. You can walk all the way to Opatija (about 25 minutes) and enjoy all its shops and cafés; from here you can also jump onto local boat operators who will take you up and down the coast to well known beaches like Moscenicka Draga or fascinating trips to Cres Island where you can see griffon vultures.

After you enter the building main hall, you go up to the first floor to this tastefully decorated flat. As you enter, you will find a small hall and an extra room with a built in wardrobe. On the right side of the hall is a double bedroom; on the left side is the air-conditioned living room with a sofa, two armchairs, a coffee table, a cupboard and a TV. A balcony with a sea view can be accessed both from the living room and the kitchenette which has hob, fridge plus table and chairs for 4. Off the kitchenette is a shower room/wc with a washing machine.

This beautiful little flat is situated on the 1st floor of an old house built in traditional style at the beginning of the last century. It is perfect for those who like the atmosphere of being in a charming little fishing village like Volosko, but not far from a larger centre like Opatija.
