The regional Park of the Luberon is neighbouring Isle sur la Sorgue and will allow you to discover its charming villages such as Gordes, Bonnieux, Roussillon and its spectacular and bucolic landscapes. The crystal clear water of the river Sorgue takes its source 7km further east in Fontaine de Vaucluse, an exceptional site where the mysterious spring gushes out. From there you can also rent a kayak and canoe along the gorgeous scenery that leads to and from ‘le partage des eaux’. La Sorgue is also classified as first category river, so it is an ideal place for fishing lovers. The property is a short drive away from Avignon (30km); St Remy de Provence (33km) and then the Alpilles region; Aix en Provence is 70Km. From the property, you only need to walk 100 metres for a choice of three different restaurants!
Affair Travel is delighted to offer you this unique and incomparable property that is right onto the River Sorgue, in a special location called ‘le partage des eaux’, in an oasis of freshness and greenery. It is rare to be able to stay in a private house in the heart of this area with direct access to and view of the river. Moreover, the owners of the house have just refurbished the property with a lot of care, ensuring comfort and quality. This is a magic place, perfect to have a real break and to retreat. However, the property is only 1.5km from the centre of Isle sur la Sorgue with plenty of lovely shops and delightful cafés and restaurants often bordering the river. Isle sur la Sorgue is also known in the region for its beautiful Provencal market on Sundays and numerous antiques shops.
A gate opens onto 350m² of private garden with grassy area and gravelled path with the emerald water of the river just in front of you. A gate gives direct access to the river for a swim. The owners have created several areas to have meals and to relax: a covered terrace with table and chairs and barbecue in front of the old water wheel; a teak table right on the river and under large tree for shade; sun loungers in the grassy part of the garden; or a delightful hammock for 2 persons that faces the river and ideal for a nap.You enter the house into a corridor with the fully equipped kitchen with dishwasher on your right. Adjacent to it, two steps leads to a dining room with a TV and with large plate glass windows to maximise the lovely views of the River. To the left of the entrance hall is the large and luminous living room comprises of a sitting area with two sofas, a plasma screen TV with DVD player and hi-fi unit, and the dining area with large table and chairs. Off the living room, a door leads to a double bedroom with en-suite shower room/wc. The entrance hall leads also to a separate wc and twin bedroom with shower cubicle and washbasin. Upstairs is a spacious master double bedroom with ensuite showeroom/wc. The washing machine is in the garage.
The house is fully equipped with reversible air conditioning and access with wifi broadband internet.
Outside in the garden is a new heated swimming pool 7m x 4m.
Broadband Wi-fi available at this property providing clients with free access via their own laptop.
