The house is situated about two minutes drive from the riverside village of St Sylvestre, which has a restaurant and shops for your every day needs. A bridge crosses the river Lot here and the road leads uphill to the splendid hilltop village of Penne, a couple of kilometres away. It is a charming village with a café and vestiges of fortifications built by Richard the Lionheart. Eight kilometres to the west of St Sylvestre is the riverside town of Villeneuve sur Lot with a colourful weekly market and plenty of shops and restaurants. To the north of St Sylvestre there are other very attractive bastide towns to visit: Monflanquin, Monpazier, Villeréale; the Chateaux of Biron and Bonaguil. To the east lies the beautiful Lot Valley and the vineyards of the AOC of Cahors.
The house is in grounds of about 3000m2. You enter directly from a covered terrace on the front of the house into a well-fitted kitchen with a microwave as well as an ordinary oven, a dishwasher. Behind is a utility room with washing machine and dryer. To the right a door opens into the living room with a dining table to seat 8 in front of the fireplace, as well as a sitting area with a low table, a plasma screen TV, DVD, and sofas. French windows open onto the covered terrace and thence the garden. A door at the far end of this room opens into a corridor, which runs from the living room past a shower room and separate wc to two bedrooms, both with double beds. Stairs rise from the sitting room to the first floor where there is a shower room/wc and two bedrooms : one with a double bed and single bed and one with a double bed. The house has oil-fired central heating and a washing machine in the boiler room. The house has wi-fi internet access.
Outside there is a 9.5m x 4.5m swimming pool and covered parking area. The owners leave 2 bicycles for your use.
Broadband Wi-fi available at this property providing clients with free access via their own laptop.
