Violica is located 5 minutes drive from Zminj, Zminj is a lovely Istrian town with 2 or 3 restaurants. Rovinj and Porec are both within easy reach, whilst the Istrian capital of Pula is just 30 minutes' drive away with a wide choice of restaurants, bars and shops.
It is possible to purchase organically grown vegetables from the locals. Also, there is a possibility for a horseback riding as there are riding day trips and tours organized in the village.
In less than 30 minutes drive from Zminj you can find Fazana, a little pictoresque town by the sea from where daily boat trips to Brijuni national park are organised. Brijuni National Park is an oasis of animal and plant life. There are almost 700 plant species and about 250 bird species on the islands, whereas the mild Mediterranean climate makes it a pleasant health resort. The usual introduction to Brijuni is a tour by tourist train that takes visitors through all the different natural beauties; through the safari park, by the Byzantine castrum, Roman residential villa in Verige Bay and many other interesting sights.
Fazana has beautiful beaches, and this is also a good place to explore the local gastronomy scene – a chain of restaurants right by the coast offer Istrian specialties – many of them based on fresh fish cought by Fazana fishermen.
The area around Karnevali is perfect for hiking and there is an adventure park in Glavani village - 20 minutes' drive away – which will appeal to both children and grown ups alike.
Violica is a spacious holiday villa which simply oozes with rustic character. There is a well equipped kitchen, complete and a large open plan living-dining room. There are four bedrooms – one downstairs double and two doubles and one single room upstairs – as well as a second sitting room upstairs which opens onto a pretty terrace.
The upper floor is air conditioned.
Outside, the well maintained grounds are planted with mediterranean shrubs and trees and there is a new 7m x 3.5m swimming pool nestling in one corner of the garden.
